Blended Learning for Adult Learners: Flexible, Self-Paced Education
If you’re an adult learner looking to advance your education while juggling work, family, or other commitments, a blended learning format can be an ideal solution. This approach combines in-class instruction with self-paced learning, giving you the flexibility to manage your time effectively while still receiving the guidance and structure of a traditional classroom environment.
Classes will be split between in-class instruction and self-paced assignments. This format ensures a balanced learning experience that fits into your busy schedule.
The following classes will be offered: Social Studies 11, Social Justice 12, Business Computer Applications 12, Entrepreneurship 12, Philosophy 12.
Evening Courses – Registration for evening classes will open in December. Date to be determined.

2018 Graduation Program
Students who recently left a BC high school without graduating can enroll at Burnaby CCE to complete their missing courses for the regular Grade 10-12 graduation program (this is also called the 2018 Graduation Program or Dogwood Certificate).
Adult Graduation Program
Adults who left high school several years ago without graduating can enroll at Burnaby CCE for the Adult Graduation Diploma. This is a fast way to graduate in BC. Adult students must complete a minimum of 20 authorized credits (usually 5 courses):

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
Registration is a multi-step process. Please review the steps below:
Step 1: Prepare and submit in documents for pre-approval in a New Student Registration form. Documents must include a Canadian transcript.
Step 2: When you have been activated in our system, you will receive an email with your
PEN (Personal Education Number) & a link to select your courses
Step 3: Click on the link and follow the Instructions on How to Select Courses.
All registrations must be done online. Please prepare your documents before applying.
Students who have not completed English 10 in Canada must take an English assessment as part of the registration process. To take the assessment, please visit the Foundations English program page here and submit a new student registration form.
The following documents are required to complete a high school registration form:

STUDENT FEES
- Students who have NOT graduated from high school in Canada or in any other country:
– FREE for all courses - Students who HAVE graduated from high school in Canada or in any other country:
– FREE for all English, Mathematics and Science courses
– $550 tuition fee for all other elective courses (Law 12, Philosophy 12, Social Justice 12, BCA 12, Social Studies 11, Entrepreneurship 12)
- If the course is cancelled by Burnaby Community & Continuing Education, the tuition fee is refunded in full.
- If a student wishes to withdraw, the tuition fee will be refunded (less a $35 processing fee) if a written request is received before the start of the second class. No refunds are issued after the start of the second class.
- If course materials are brought back in good condition at the end of the class, a full refund will be issued.
- If course materialsare returned more than 4 weeks after finishing or withdrawing from a class, no refund will be issued.
- If course materials are returned in a damaged condition, no refund will be issued.
